On Thursday morning, the Sejm resumed its deliberations, which were classified while examining the request to waive the immunity of PiS associate Mariusz Błaszczak. The decision to keep the sitting secret was taken by the Bureau of the Sejm and the vote on this request was taken after the House's work was excluded.
The reopening of the sitting was scheduled for 11 p.m. and the vote on Blaszczak's immunity was scheduled to take place in the voting block from 3:30 p.m.

Just after the end of the secret part of the meeting, Mr Błaszczak commented on the event, saying:
— It's no wonder they've classified the proceedings. On the 1 hand, they charge me with declassified material that was archived, and on the another hand, they want to punish me for it. It's a contradiction in itself. Poland is to be protected and so has been since the regulation of the Law and Justice. president Joe Biden said in Warsaw that all part should be protected by NATO. He confirmed our rule that PiS introduced,” said Mariusz Błaszczak.
The erstwhile head of the MON besides referred to the allegation that he had fallen from the plenary area that he was to be a minister worse than Antoni Macierewicz.
— If they have no arguments, they make innuendos. It's very bad that our country is ruled by specified people. Poles see it," said Błaszczak in the Sejm.
Let us remind you that the removal of immunity from Blaszczak is related to the conduct of proceedings. The Prosecutor's Office intends to charge him with overriding powers due to the declassified in July 2023 and the public disclosure in September 2023 of fragments of the "Warta-00101.
This 2011 paper afraid the defence against possible Russian attack. Blaszczak, citing this plan, accused Citizens' Platform politicians that during their regulation they had planned to defend the state on the Vistula line in the event of an invasion, which would mean "giving half the country back to the attacker".
Błaszczak: The decision did no harm
Prior to the beginning of the secret sittings of the Sejm, Błaszczak organised a press conference in front of the parliament, which was accompanied by many PiS parliamentarians.
He stressed that as a national defence minister he had the right and work to declassified archived materials, especially towards the residents of east Poland. He pointed out that his decision did not origin any harm, but, on the contrary, benefited the safety of his homeland, as the inhabitants of east Poland can feel safer thanks to the change of defence plans by the Law and Justice, which presume the defence of all part of Polish land by the Polish Army.
Support for Jarosław Kaczyński
PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński expressed his full support for Mariusz Błaszczak and another people affected by the current political situation, comparing it to distant years erstwhile the judiciary was active in political combat.
Kaczyński stated that the full case was preposterous, and the accusations against Błaszczak had no legal basis due to the fact that the Minister of Defence had the right to declassified the applicable materials and his decision did not origin any harm.
Opposition reactions and experts
The opposition critically assessed Błaszczak's efforts to declassified the ‘Warta-00101’ plan. Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of National Defence, announced the presentation of public information about Błaszczak's disclosure of fragments of the plan to usage the Polish Armed Forces "Warta".
Mr Tomczyk stressed that the Minister Bliss, acting contrary to the law and interests of the Republic, he declassified and later revealed fragments of a top secret defence plan, which is unacceptable for the safety of the state.
According to representatives of the current government, specified actions could possibly put Poland at risk, revealing strategical defence plans of the country.
National safety experts are besides very careful. General Stanisław Koziej, erstwhile head of the National safety Bureau, stressed in a discussion with the media that "disclosure of details of military plans, even if they are historical documents, can be dangerous due to the fact that the opponent can draw conclusions about the strategical reasoning of a given state".
Voting on Immunity of Błaszczak
According to the schedule, the vote on the waiver of immunity was to be held in the voting block from 3:30 p.m.
The decision in this case could have serious political consequences, both for Błaszczak himself and for the full Law and Justice Office.
If the Sejm waives immunity, the D.A. will be able to formally press charges against the politician of overpowerment.
