Bishops thunder after the decision of the ministry. "Unlawful act"

"The simplification of the teaching of religion to 1 hr a week and the order to organize religion lessons before or after compulsory educational classes limit the right of spiritual parents to bring up their children in accordance with their own beliefs," wrote the presidium of the Polish Episcopal Conference in consequence to the actions of Minister Barbara Nowacka. The Church emphasized that the government rejected their compromise proposal to reduce spiritual education only in secondary schools. The regulation of the Ministry of National Education comes into force on 1 September.
