In "Guest of Events" on Polsat News, Maciej Berek referred to the bill's draft bill by the president, which, according to the assumptions, would reduce bills for electricity. The Minister stated that the government does not present see the request for specified regulation. His argument is simple: tariffs have already been approved by the regulator, or URE, at a level that "still late required statutory intervention". In his opinion, this means that an additional "lowering" price bill is not necessary.
– No power bill simplification is needed. At the moment, we have already approved tariffs by the regulator at the level that inactive late required statutory intervention – argued Maciej Berek.
Berek stressed that his statements were about a different issue than the presidential proposal: not just about "cutting" prices, but about the readability and manner of presenting fees on the account.
The government wants to return despite the presidential veto
The minister announced that the coalition would return to the proposal to simplify electricity bills. This was explained by the fact that energy users should better realize what they pay for and how the final amount is built. He pointed out that the accounts to date were illegible, and the government's thought was to make it easier to compare offers and control costs.
– We will come back with this proposal, due to the fact that we want the electricity customers to be able to realize what they receive better – argued Berek.
The lead pointed out that the veto on the "simplifying" case may be related to the fact that there is no presidential task to reduce bills. Berek replied that these are 2 different subjects: 1 relates to the form of the account, the another to the statutory tool, which is no longer needed in his opinion, as the tariff prices were set at a lower level.
Deregulation 2.0 and veto Nawrocki. "It's a amazing number"
The subject of deregulation besides appeared in the conversation. Berek said that the government had introduced more than 100 changes under the "Deregulation 2.0" programme, while critically assessing the series of presidential vetoes. According to him, part of the proposal was "apolitical" and was adopted in the Sejm with broad majority, sometimes without much dispute. Nevertheless, the president vetoed 18 solutions, which the minister considered to be decisions without justification.
– These deregulation proposals are absolutely apolitical. They were voted in the Sejm with the majority that sometimes all Members in the Chamber raised their hand "for". Despite this, the president vetoed respective of them," said Berek.
However, he pointed out that the government did not intend to abandon these ideas. any of them are expected to come back in subsequent projects, due to the fact that most of the changes are not controversial adequate to make large emotions.
Coalition and divided in Poland 2050. "For the government's work nothing has changed"
Berek was besides asked about the situation in the coalition after the fresh parliamentary club of the Centre was established. He argued that from the point of view of the government's work it did not trigger turbulence and did not change the plans of the cabinet.
– A fresh club appeared as a consequence of the division, but from the point of view of the government's work it did not disturb us in anything, nothing changed in our plans – Berek argued.
He besides referred to the question of possible deputy ministerial sages after the withdrawal of the advice by Poland 2050, saying that these positions were not covered by the coalition agreement in specified a way that this would automatically require renegotiation.
KRS and courts. After the vetoe, there are also projects
At the end of the interview, the veto of the president appeared to amend the Act on the National Judiciary Council. Berek announced that the government would work on another solutions to improve the work of courts and strengthen staff facilities.
– It is precisely due to the fact that the president is blocking these changes of a systemic nature related to the position of judge, that another changes are needed and any of them are already being carried out by the Minister of Justice – said Berek.
He besides talked about preparing changes in cooperation with NGOs to be "non-controversial". He announced that a resolution would appear at the next session of the Sejm explaining the approach of coalition clubs to the subject of election of judges to the KRS.
