After 43 days of closure of the US government (shutdown) an agreement was reached. The compromise was concluded between the Republicans and the 8 Democratic Senators. The paper was signed by president Donald Trump as shortly as it was voted in the home of Representatives (by 222 votes in favour and 209 against). The adopted package envisages extending government backing until the end of January and yearly backing for government agencies. This will remove the mass layoffs and forced leave after 1 October.
This year's shutdown lasted longer than the evidence of 2018. At the time, the government did not work for 34 days.
