OKLAMOHA- A First Officer employed by PSA Airlines (OH), a regional subsidiary of American Airlines (AA), has been arrested on child sexual exploitation charges after FBI agents discovered disturbing videos on his iPhone during an investigation in Tulsa, Oklahoma (TUL).

The arrest followed forensic analysis of the pilot’s devices, which authorities claim contained hours of evidence documenting horrific abuse, including content allegedly showing the pilot himself participating in criminal acts involving minors, PYOK reported.

American Airlines Pilot Arrested

The investigation began on April 11, 2025, when the pilot arranged to meet with an adult sex worker during a layover at the Best Western Airport in Tulsa.

According to court documents filed in the US District Court in Oklahoma, after consensual relations with the adult, the pilot allegedly showed the woman deeply disturbing videos containing child sexual abuse material.

The sex worker claims the pilot explicitly identified one of the victims as his own daughter. Horrified by what she witnessed, she orchestrated a plan to obtain the pilot’s iPhone and iPad while he showered. After unsuccessfully attempting to contact his wife, she took the devices directly to the local police.

Upon forensic examination, investigators discovered nearly three hours of video files containing what the criminal complaint describes as “appalling child pornography.” The complaint further alleges that a man resembling the pilot appears in some of the footage. Additional evidence found on the iPad was deemed too disturbing to detail in public reports.

Allegations and Criminal Proceedings

During interviews with law enforcement, the witness reported particularly alarming statements made by the pilot. She alleged he admitted to drugging his daughter before abusing her, and had proposed involving his 14-year-old son in sexual activity with the woman.

The First Officer, who operates flights for PSA Airlines based out of Dayton, has been taken into custody following weeks of detailed investigation. The criminal charges include production and possession of child sexual abuse material, with federal authorities now examining potential additional victims or accomplices.

Representatives from both PSA Airlines and American Airlines have declined to comment specifically on the case, citing the ongoing investigation, but confirmed the pilot has been suspended pending legal proceedings. Industry protocols typically include immediate removal from flight duties when criminal allegations emerge against airline personnel.

Similar Incident

This arrest marks the second high-profile case in 2025 involving a commercial airline pilot facing child exploitation charges. In February, a JetBlue (B6) pilot was arrested at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) moments before departing for Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

That incident ended tragically when the 33-year-old pilot, Jeremy Gudorf, evaded authorities after his initial court appearance and later took his own life when federal agents attempted to apprehend him at an MBTA station in Revere, Massachusetts.

The airline industry maintains stringent background checks for all crew members, but these cases have raised questions about ongoing monitoring protocols and psychological assessment procedures for flight personnel who maintain positions of trust and responsibility.

Federal law enforcement officials have emphasized that these investigations are prioritized due to the severity of the crimes and potential ongoing threats to vulnerable minors. The current case remains under active investigation by the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force.
