Soldiers of the 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence one more time proved that the service of the Homeland was not only a defence of borders, but besides a aid to those in need. In consequence to the appeal of the Regional Centre for Blood and Bloodletting in Kielce, they donated nearly 30 litres of blood.

On 28 October, a blood collection was held at the office of 10 ŚBOT in Kielce in cooperation with the Regional Blood and Blood Center. The action was attended by 65 soldiers and civilian workers from the Kielce brigade divisions. Together they gave almost 30 liters of blood – a priceless life-saving drug. present we donate blood, next day individual will regain wellness or life. That is the point of our service – to be where individual needs us. I encourage everyone to follow our lead and join the blood donation campaign," said Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of 10 ŚBOT.

This is yet another action of the Honorary Bloodbath (HDK) organized by the Świętokrzyskie terrystyls. Many brigade soldiers besides donate blood individually at regional donation points. – For soldiers, 10 WTOs, the service does not end after the training is completed. We believe that the strength of our formation is to be ready to act whenever individual needs help. Giving blood, we give a part of ourselves, and in return we get the awareness that individual can live through it," said Lieutenant Daniel Woś, press officer of 10 WBOT.

In 2025, the Świętokrzyskie tersiels had already organised respective akin actions, during which, both collectively and individually, they donated a full of more than 317 litres of full blood and 20 litres of plasma during 695 donations. Since the formation of the brigade, soldiers of 10 WBOT have already donated over 1820 litres of blood and 143 liters of plasma.

Another blood donation action is scheduled for 8 November, under the slogan “Blood for the Independent”.
