GURUGRAM- A drunk passenger onboard an Air India Express (IX) flight from Dubai (DXB) to Jaipur (JAI) allegedly misbehaved with a female crew member during the journey on Saturday (June 28, 2025), prompting immediate action upon landing.
The crew reported the in-flight misconduct to Jaipur International Airport security after touchdown. A formal police complaint was filed by the airline, and an investigation is currently underway.

According to sources, the disruptive behavior occurred mid-flight after the male passenger consumed alcohol. His actions were deemed inappropriate toward a woman cabin crew member. Upon arrival in Jaipur, the cabin crew informed airport security of the incident without delay.
Following this, a police complaint was lodged, and authorities initiated a formal probe. As per officials familiar with the matter, Air India Express has complied with all procedural requirements and submitted the necessary documentation for the investigation.
While details about the identity of the passenger or the exact nature of his misconduct have not been publicly released, authorities confirmed that the airline is cooperating fully.
The situation remains under active review by law enforcement and regulatory bodies.

In a separate case, the same day, Air India (AI) reported an incident involving unruly behavior aboard Flight AI454 from Amritsar (ATQ) to Delhi (DEL). During final descent preparations, a crew member observed a verbal altercation between two passengers in the aisle.
According to Air India, one of the passengers alleged that the other was verbally abusive. Cabin crew intervened promptly, relocating the affected individual to a business-class seat to diffuse the situation.
On arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the disruptive passenger was handed over to airport security, who had been pre-alerted by the captain. The matter is now being handled by the airline’s internal and security teams in accordance with aviation norms.

Air India reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards any form of disruptive behavior, emphasizing that the safety of passengers and crew remains paramount.
A spokesperson confirmed full cooperation with authorities and assured that all necessary actions are being followed.
As per guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Indian carriers are mandated to act on such incidents promptly.
This includes forming an internal committee to investigate and, if required, recommending the errant passenger’s placement on the no-fly list.
Both incidents underline the growing importance of strict enforcement of passenger conduct rules and the airline industry’s commitment to ensuring a safe flying environment.
