The affair around MIG-29 for Ukraine. Sikorski: Everything was arranged with Duda

Around the issue of Poland's surrender of MIG-29 fighters for the fighting Ukraine there was a large scandal. president Karol Nawrocki said he knew nothing. Meanwhile, Radosław Sikorski himself took the floor. He called on Andrzej Duda to confirm that they worked intensively and fruitfully on the subject even during his word of office.


And it all started after the national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Ukraine could number on another tranche of solid military support. MON plans to give our east neighbours the last MiG-29 fighters serving in Polish colours.

The Deputy Prime Minister indicated that the machines were moving out of benefits and would no longer participate in operational activities. In addition, Poland wants to usage Ukrainian drone and anti-drone capabilities in exchange for the surrender of fighters.

When asked about this case, president Karol Nawrocki stated that he knew nothing. There must have been any misunderstanding here. I didn't have that kind of information. I confirmed it present at the National safety Bureau. This information did not come to me – he stated at a press conference in Riga in front of our Latvian allies.

Now the issue of transferring MIG-29 to Ukraine was addressed by the abroad Minister Radosław Sikorski. He pointed out that everything was inactive agreed with Andrzej Duda, due to the fact that the talks on this subject have been going on for a long time.

"I declare that the president of the Republic of Poland not only knew about the plan to transfer fighters of MIG-29 to the fighting Ukraine, but that we worked closely and fruitfully together to convince the General Staff of the HR to decide. Didn't he?" asked the Deputy Prime Minister and marked the erstwhile President. For now, Andrzej Duda has not reacted to this.



Let us add that earlier, the head of the Political Office of the Prime Minister Paweł Graś answered the words of Nawrocki. "Complete nonsense, Migów case has been going on for more than a year" - he explained in the entry on platform X.
