On 11 July, it was established by the legislature and the National Sejm on the Polish Memorial Day – Victims of genocide committed by the CNS-UPA on the east Borders of the Second Republic of Poland. The bill received almost unanimous support - 88 senators voted “for”, only 1 was against. This festival commemorates the tragic events of July 1943, called "a bloody Sunday", erstwhile Ukrainian nationalists murdered thousands of Poles.
