A dispute over religion lessons. The Episcopate announces 'further legal steps'

– We will take further legal steps, depending on the improvement of the situation – announced the spokesperson of the Polish Episcopal Conference, commenting on the dispute between the Church and the Ministry of National Education on the issue of organizing religion lessons. Fr. Leszek Gęsiak emphasized that the regulation of Barbara Nowacka's ministry was issued without the required consent and violates the applicable regulations. In addition, he accused the government of rejecting the compromise proposal and restricting the rights of parents and students.
