The Permanent Committee of the Council of Ministers adopted a task related to the verification of benefits for Ukrainians in Poland. The Act besides contains provisions on the legality of residence of, among others, Ukrainian war refugees.
- I'm sorry. This task was recommended yesterday at the level of Deputy Ministers to the Council of Ministers. All fundamental issues have been clarified; there are inactive a fewer method issues that will be clarified and recorded in the draft before the Council of Ministers - said Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Maciej Duszczyk.
He added that the task is comprehensive, which means that it has, among others, stimulate foreigners to take up employment in Poland.
Draft Act amending certain laws to verification of entitlement to benefits on behalf of the household for foreigners and on the conditions for assisting Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict in the territory of that country on Tuesday was published on the website Government Legislative Centre. On Thursday, the draft was adopted by Permanent Committee of the Council of Ministers.

The task is intended to extend until 4 March 2026 the period during which citizens of Ukraine who have arrived in Poland in connection with the war activities conducted in the territory of that country are considered legal and related access to the labour market. At the same time, it introduces solutions sealing the support strategy and eliminating certain emergency solutions so far.

According to the proposal, the right to supply education for third-country foreigners will be linked to the activity of the applicant in the labour marketplace and to the learning of children in the Polish school.
