Under the Temporary Protection Directive, assistance must be given to Ukrainians, but the level of social and household benefits is determined by the associate States, said European Commission spokesperson Markus Lammert on Tuesday. He recalled that associate States decided in July to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians in the EU until March 2027.
