As of 1 June 2025, the educational provision 800+ for Ukrainian citizens who came to Poland in connection with the war will be paid in fresh terms and on changed rules. The introduction of fresh government requires additional conditions for the education of children.

As of June 2025, educational provision 800+ for citizens Ukraine having UKR position will be paid on 2 dates: 22 and 24 days of each month. The amendment of the payment agenda results from the entry into force of the Act of 15 May 2024, which changes the conditions for granting and paying benefits to this group of foreigners – informs Krystyna Michałek, the regional press spokesperson of ZUS in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.

Under the fresh regulations, so that Ukrainian citizens with the position of UKR can receive the 800+ benefit, the children they apply for must attend a kindergarten (so-called “zeros”) or a Polish school. This is simply a prerequisite both for granting the benefit and for continuing to pay it in the following months.

Young children are exempted from this obligation: they are not subject to or deferred pre-school or school obligations.

Confirmation of compliance with the educational condition is based on data from the Educational Information strategy (SIO), to which information is introduced by the manager of the educational establishment to which the kid attends. Since the fresh transportation period, which is from 1 June 2025, The Social Insurance Institution will verify all time in the SIO registry whether the kid attends a Polish educational institution. If there is no applicable data in the register, the parent will receive a call to explain via the PUE/eZUS Electronic Services Platform.
In the event of an mistake in the system, after its correction and completion of the data, the Social Insurance Institution will grant and pay out the educational benefit.

The first benefits paid under the fresh rules – for June 2025 – will be implemented on 23 and 24 June 2025. In the following months, benefits will be transferred on 22 and 24 days of the month.
