We are little than 50 days distant from the first circular of the 2025 presidential election scheduled for 18 May. In this decisive phase of the campaign, candidates intensify their promotional activities, especially on the Internet. The presidential election is 1 of the most crucial political events in Poland, and the election run is simply a key component in the success of candidates.
According to Virtualmedia.pl, candidates for president spend more than six times more on Facebook promotion than on Google. This shows that social media is more crucial to them than a search engine. During the period analysed from 30 December 2024 to 29 March 2025, the committee of Rafał Trzaskowski spent the most money on promotion in Meta, as much as 369 116 PLN on 137 advertisements.
Online campaigning is not only advertising on Google, but besides content on candidate profiles. With Google and Meta tools, you can track how much money was spent on promotion. Spending in Google (15 January – 31 March) amounted to a full of PLN 94 250, while in Meta candidates spent as much as PLN 693 151.
The leader in the presidential race is Rafał Trzaskowski, with a score of 36.4 percent in the IBRiS poll for Polsat News. They proceed to include: Karol Nawrocki with 25.9 percent, Sławomir Mentzen with 18.1 percent, Szymon Hołownia with 5.4 percent, Magdalena Biejat with 2.6 percent, Adrian Zandberg with 2.5 percent and Grzegorz Braun with 0.5 percent.
The election run is not only a fight for votes, but besides a rivalry for the attention of voters. In the era of the digital campaign, candidates must be active in social media to scope their voters. According to CBOS data, as many as 72 percent of respondents believe that Rafał Trzaskowski will decision to the second circular of elections.
