The Social Insurance Institution has started a large shipment operation, to which nearly 9 million pensioners and pensioners are recipients. In 1 shipment seniors will receive 2 decisions concerning their income – 1 on the March valorisation of benefits, the another on the granting of thirteenth pension.
Two decisions in 1 envelope
ZUS informs that as part of the current letter action, until the end of May 2025 each entitled shall receive 2 key decisions:
- Decision on the valorisation of benefitswhich takes into account 5.5% increase from March 2025.
- Decision granting the alleged thirteenth pension, i.e. an additional yearly benefit.
This action is intended to make it easier for seniors to access full information and optimise correspondence.
Thirteen 2025: amount and beneficiaries
As part of the late completed withdrawal action, 13th pension received 8.8 million people. The full value of the funds transferred was nearly PLN 16.5 billion gross. Each full thirteen is:
- PLN 1878.91 gross – same for all eligible.
According to the regulations, this benefit is granted to persons who are entitled to a regular 31 March 2025. were entitled to payment of the basic benefit from ZUS.
What do the sent decisions contain?
Valorisation decision includes, inter alia:
- new amount of benefit after increase,
- the amount of the income taxation advance,
- the sum of contributions to wellness insurance,
- the net amount to be paid.
In turn second decision, concerning thirteen, explains:
- amount of additional benefit,
- the legal basis and the way it is calculated.
ZUS calls on the recipients to carefully check the contents of the envelope and immediate notification of any non-compliance in the data to the appropriate facility.
Attention to exceeding the income limit
Not all seniors can enjoy their benefits. Early retirementwho did not scope retirement age (60 years for women and 65 for men)and at the same time they worked above the limit, may receive a call to reimbursement of the thirteenth or fourteenth pension.
The limit to which the right to benefits is suspended is exceeded 130% of average salary. If by day:
- 31 March the benefit was suspended (applies to thirteen), or
- 31 October (applies to fourteen),
– payment of additional benefits was uncommonwhich may consequence in their work refund.
ZUS recalls that in specified cases recipients may request that the fees be distributed in instalmentsif a one-off repayment would be besides dense a burden.
Why was valorisation 5.5%?
March valorisation was lower than in erstwhile years, which is shown by falling inflation. Still, 5.5% increase has a real impact on improving the financial situation of seniors. ZUS indicates that valorisation is aimed at maintenance of purchasing power of benefits, especially in the context of rising costs of living.

- ZUS hotline,

Grzegorz Dyjak from ZUS press office emphasises that a reliable verification of the data in the decisions received is crucial:
