Payment of pensions
Data ZUS, more and more seniors decide to receive their pension benefits through bank transfers. Currently, an awesome number exceeding 81 percent of people choose this option. The remaining pensions are inactive provided through the Post Office, but this is not always the optimal solution.
Iwona Kowalski-Matis, Lower Silesian spokeswoman ZUS, provided information to the portal ‘Lega artis’, stressing that all interventions which occurred due to deficiency of payment or hold afraid primarily postal communications. ZUS urgently appeals to all seniors
ZUS has been urging seniors for a long time to change the method of receiving their benefits through bank transfers alternatively of conventional postal transfers. This procedure requires an appropriate application to ZUS. Through this proposal, the institution may transform the way in which the pension is delivered from conventional message into direct bank transfer. The form must supply the account number to which the funds are to be transferred. As a rule, ZUS makes withdrawals according to the fresh method from the next withdrawal cycle, taking into account specified bank account data. This amendment aims to streamline and safe the payment process, thereby eliminating the possible risks associated with postal shipments.

During the distribution of the pension by the postman, mistakes occur, as happened late in Warsaw, where an aged female experienced misunderstandings. Waiting eagerly for her pension, she decided to personally go to the post office. However, there she learned that the money had already been delivered. Turns out they went to a elder neighbour with the same name. Despite an old lady's request, the neighbour refused to return her own cash. The situation was resolved only after the police were reported, which allowed for an explanation of misunderstanding and restoration of justice.
