Kamil Stoch was symbolically honored at Bischofshofen by the 4 Jumpers Tournament organizers. After the competition, he received a small Golden Eagle with the inscription “Thank you Kamil”, and the cheerings of fans – as he admitted – caused him quite a few emotion.
“It got sentimental erstwhile I heard the cheering of fans and announcer,” he admitted.
On Tuesday's jumping competition at Bischofshofen Stoch ranked 18th and the full tournament finished at 19th. Summing up the performance, he admitted that this period each of the 4 jumpers was unique due to the engagement of organizers and fans: “I felt it, I saw it and heard it. That is why it was worth to say earlier that it was my last period to say goodbye this way," Stoch said.
Kamil Stoch triumphed in the 4 Jump Tournament 3 times – in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
