Soldiers and WOT check the railway way on which the diversion occurred

WOT spokesperson Major Rafał Rylich reported that soldiers of the Territorial Defence Army were checking the section of the railway line on which the acts of diversion took place on the Warsaw–Lublin route.

At the weekend in Mika, the detonation damaged the track, which, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, could lead to derailment of the train. Elsewhere the damaged infrastructure forced the depot with 475 passengers to rapidly brake.

Deputy Prime Minister and head of MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced a control of about 120 km of the way leading towards Hrubieszów, including the participation of the Lublin WOT Brigade and 25th Battalion from Zamość. As the formation spokesperson said, soldiers search the track, culverts and terrain around the line and support railway safety services.

Minister of Interior Marcin Kierwiński informed about securing extended evidence to aid rapidly identify the perpetrators. The National Prosecutor's Office has already initiated an investigation.
