Soldier injured on the Polish-Belarusian border

A dangerous incidental on the Polish-Belarusian border. While securing the border against attempts to cross illegal migrants, a Polish soldier was injured.

The circumstances of the event are explained by the Military Police. It is known that the soldier protected the Polish border from an aggressive group of migrants who tried to scope Poland. In the course of the action, a flash-blow grenade exploded.

– In the course of thwarting the illegal crossing of the border by a group of aggressive migrants, a soldier of the Task Force Podlasie suffered injuries. During the usage of means of direct coercion, a bang-and-blow grenade exploded and the soldier suffered a left hand injury – we read in the release of Colonel Magdalena Kościńska from the Operational Command of the Polish Academy of Sciences, quoted by PAP.

Premedical assistance was given to the injured individual and then transported to a infirmary in Białystok.
