French president Emmanuel Macron met with French soldiers at the military base in Istres on Thursday 15 January and gave a fresh Year's speech. The assembled and media broadcasting this event immediately noticed a clear red and swollen eye at the head of the state.
Macron took off his glasses and everyone was shocked. His eye was bloodshot.
