Russian Pacific Fleet ships arrived at the Chinese port of Qingdao for yearly joint sea exercises – the Ministry of Defence in Moscow reported on Sunday.
The naval forces of both states, supported by aviation, will conduct search and rescue operations, exercises on the combat of submarines and air defense, and artillery shootings – the ministry said.
The video released by the Ministry shows a squad of Russian Pacific Fleet ships entering the port.
The material besides presents an authoritative welcome ceremony, during which sailors from both countries exchange handshakes and children hand flowers to incoming crews.
The Chinese Ministry of Defence reported on Sunday that these exercises form part of an yearly plan of cooperation between the armed forces of both countries and aim to jointly address safety challenges and keep peace and stableness in the region.
The hotel added that erstwhile the maneuvers have been completed, the selected forces of both sides will conduct a joint sea patrol on selected Pacific Ocean waters.
