We are already after the draw of the barracks, which took place at the FIFA office in Zurich. In the semi-finals the Polish representation will take Albania. In the event of promotion, the white-reds will face the departure with the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match.
White and red, drawn from the second basket, had assurance in the game at home. Among possible rivals were Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. In the end, they came to Albania, with which in fresh years they have frequently met on the turf – both winning (e.g. 4:1 and 1:0 in the eliminations of the planet War 2022) and losing (0:2 in the eliminations of Euro 2024).
Selectioner Jan Urban did not cover the satisfaction of the draw results: “We cannot complain about the draw. We're the favourite in the first meeting, and we should usage it at our own stadium. There is simply a good chance that these barracks will work out our way," commented the white-red coach.
The semifinals were scheduled for March 26 and the finals 5 days later.
