The West is terminally sick and there is no indication that it can overcome agony by itself. erstwhile German philosopher Oswald Spengler announced in 1923 the final release of the celebrated “Twilight of the West” it may have seemed to be exaggerating; that it was a Prussian disaster prematurely burying a flourishing civilization. After a 100 years no 1 would say that: our twilight is obvious.
We seem to be at a turning point in this twilight. Not due to the fact that the United States' conflict with China is increasing; nor due to the fact that the dream proved to be to supply America and Europe with a fast economical stranglehold on Russia after its attack on Ukraine. Nor is it the triumph of Donald Trump – a politician whom many consider to be the equivalent of a secular messiah, not noticing his deep immersion in liberalism. The last months are first and foremost the time when, as a powerfully cracked, rather simply, the basis upon which our civilization was built appeared: the Bishop of Rome rejected all appearances of continuity of his teaching with the Tradition of the Church and began openly to call black white.
The Vatican ended the Synod of Bishops in November, which, despite its name, besides consisted of secular ones. How can you lie about reality like that? And yet it was widely accepted. The illness is so advanced that even gross ideological contamination does not origin major protests. The broken concepts mark a broken thought.
Indeed, the doctrine—the 1 preached by the pope and his people—is a mess. A year ago, in December 2023, Francis and the Vatican “watchman of faith” Cardinal Fernández announced that homosexual couples were allowed to bless in the Church. Let us emphasize: St Peter's successor accepts the blessing of behavior-based relationships, which the Church's tradition defines invariably as a sin calling for vengeance to heaven.
Rome has plunged into specified deep intellectual and moral chaos that no 1 in his right head can ignore it anymore. This terrible illness is not limited to the Vatican: besides another Western priests have completely succumbed to it. The same as the pope did the Anglicans in the British Isles; earlier Lutherans and Calvinists in continental Europe...
In the eyes of the public, these matters can go unnoticed only due to the fact that the majority has long rejected any deep spiritual identity. Half – more than half? – the people of the Western planet profess utmost ideology of materialism, or at least live according to it. They drink all word out of the mouth of their fresh secular prophets, like Yuval Noah Harari, claiming that man is an average animal that can be "hacked and programmed" according to the will of a wealthy global elite. Well, bringing a man to the function of a beast will have its consequences: whoever considers himself an animal will be treated as an animal.
Voluntary resignation from humanity opens the way to the most terrible crimes. The future – if there is any future – may be called our century of ashes; the ruins of civilization set on fire by the French revolution yet extinguish.
It is not essential to scope to the deepest beliefs of the Western people to see that we die; we besides die physically. Although the countries of the European Union and the United States are increasing in population all year, they owe this fact only to mass migration from the global South. Those who biologically and culturally constitution the West simply do not want development; they want to vegetate without any timeless purpose. Why should they even have children erstwhile they are convinced that both they and their hypothetical offspring will divide the destiny of pigs – surviving in the mud and after death into this mud turning?
Childhood in our country is so highly low that for years we have consistently occupied the very bottoms of the demographic ranking of the world. In another formerly Catholic countries specified as Spain and Italy, it is very similar. No programs are helping to change the demographic situation. The program 500/800+ brought nothing to Poland. This could not have been the case; earlier akin social transfers have been applied in many another countries, including Germany, with akin mediocre results. There was no usage in developing a network of nursery and kindergartens. Experts are inactive swearing on reality: if we aid women combine work with motherhood, we can do it, rebuild the demography... Everyone in Poland and outside Poland is trying to do so: late in Italy, specified reforms have started announcing and implementing right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, so eager to mention to Christianity. It is simply a tragedy that marks the condition of the Western spirit that almost no 1 perceives the immanent folly of these actions: their effects are precisely the other than intended. Although heretical it sounds in the ears of societies devoured by feminist ideology, the fact is trivially simple: societies developed populace at the time and only erstwhile men worked and women took care of home and children. If a female is to work for most of her life – she will not be multi-children; it is hard to deny logic. This, however, is something that must not be disturbed. It is ideology; and ideology always leads to disaster. So we have a disaster.
I will not mention the word "human rights" of elements of the civilization of death, especially the alleged abortion, which occurs both in the US and in Europe. French president Emmanuel Macron wants to kill conceived children in the French constitution. The Evangelical “Church” in Germany supported the efforts of the leftist government, which intends to full legalize abortion: evangelicals argue that even if the fetus is actually a human being (that's what biology says!), it is nevertheless essential to respect the “right of female to self-determination” – so let it be about the life of another man. Donald Trump, during the election campaign, ordered the Republicans to be removed from the program by writing about the protection of life. In Poland, supposedly centre parties of Poland 2050 and PSL fantasize over the organisation of abortion referendums. Voting over the right to kill innocents – they dreamt, you can see how the crowd in Jerusalem shout: “Crucify Him!” Left-wing propagandists are so insolent that they present legal killing of children conceived as 1 of the conditions for the reconstruction of fertility in Poland. The Civic Coalition, with the aid of part of the Law and Justice, carried out in vitro funding, i.e. freezing human embryos, to build a culture of fertility. How can the apology of killing and freezing people build openness to life? In what country in the planet has the introduction of prenatal infanticide encouraged women to become mothers? It is hard to be more foolish – but stupidity is considered reasonable today.
In many EU countries, more large families are almost exclusively arabian and African migrants. Nowhere in Europe – just nowhere – there are fertility indicators to guarantee that generations are easy replaced. The West, if it does not want to empty itself, must constantly feed on muslim commercial immigrants. There is no another way: without this state of the capitalist economy, the social strategy will collapse and there will be riots. comparatively calm endurance is dependent on mass migration. This means, in the long term, the inevitable "population change": West made up of confederate men?
That's impossible – it won't be the West anymore. Last year my attention was drawn to images from Berlin showing pro-Palestinian protests in Paris Square outside the Brandenburg Gate. The gate is possibly not a mastery of architecture; it is simply a somewhat unleavened symbol of Prussian militarism; but it has its deeper symbolism. Frederick Wilhelm II wanted to show himself as the Prussian Pericles; the structure crowns Victoria carrying a quadruple; by the pillars stand the statues of Mars and Minerva. Greece, Rome – civilization. A year ago, the Brandenburg Gate became an object, I would say, a two-track barbarism. The Muslims gathered at the protests prostrate themselves to Allah, with the back of this Berlin symbol of Western cultural continuity, as if thus showing deep contempt for him. The gate was devastated at the time... by the Germans. extremist “ecologists” have poured hard paint on it. If Western people despise their own civilization – why should the Mahamethanes respect it?
And there are more and more of them, with all the consequences. Jean Raspail's ghastly imagination of Europe destroyed by an uncounted wave of people of the South is gradually being realized with any inexorable interior necessity. In Berlin, Muslims account for about 10% of the city's population. This is almost as much as the Protestants; in view of the fact that Berlin Christians barely practice their faith, the most actual believers in the capital of Germany are believers of Allah. In Vienna, which 3 100 years ago saved Poles from the flood of Islam, Mahamethanes will dominate in the span of decades: already present in public schools all 3rd student is Muslim. The same is actual in many another major cities in Belgium or France. Will it be different in Poland in the long term? most likely not, since Polish families are dying out, and Ukrainians coming to our country besides do not establish more many families; yet others, more vital, bringing their culture will replace us.
Will visitors be able to make a civilization on the ruins of old Europe? A well-known French philosopher Chantal Delsol believes so; that something fresh is already being born in the West. In the loud book “The End of the Christian World,” Delsol painted a panorama of the Epicurean Ecology that would merge the fresh West. agnosticism mixed with pantheism, universal love for nature, immanentism... It was kind of like Delsol, pointing to late antiquity. In this analogy for Europe's widespread muslim cults or remnants of Christianity would be a place akin to that which the empire has given to east cults: an ot, bottom-up color, with the dominant doctrine of blunt and pointless hedonism. However, it seems that the French philosopher does not appreciate the vitality of Islam, especially discovered by young Muslims, born in families already settled in Europe. Besides, the Hedonist antiquity did not survive: it was swept distant by the course of history. According to Oswald Spengler, that seemingly unchangeable persistence was a petrification of the dead; the persistence of a dried-up tree waiting for a strong wind. So did ancient China and Egypt pyramids. The West does not gotta die tomorrow; its agony may take decades. It's a time-stretched suicide. Delsol's future, if any, will be short – Epicurean ecology is not a task of the living; it is the last dream of the dying.
The seriousness of the crisis in which we are in can besides be seen in the close absence of affirmative political solutions. There is simply a fresh right in the West, but what does it truly want? In Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki announced the Christianity of Europe. He turned out to be a politician who signed all the papers submitted by Brussels and who present blames the election defeat of his formation for the Constitutional Court's ruling on abortion – the only minute in the full eight-year-old PiS government, which had genuine counter-revolutionary potential. There was no Christianity; even specified attempts were not made.
The last election with counter-revolutionary slogans was initially a Confederate; however, the formation finished the run preaching a fresh version of warm water in the tap: a house, a grill and 2 cars, this is the “vision of the future” of the group which was to cast an anchor to the sinking Republic. In Germany, an alternate to Germany is becoming increasingly popular today; it already has a unchangeable position of second political force in the country, and in east Germany it is even the first. Sources of success? First of all, opposition to migration. Okay, but what's next?
What affirmative state revival program does the group headed by Alice Weidel, a lesbian who together with an immigrant from Sri Lanka rise 2 adopted children?
And what does the French offer Marine Le Pen? Expulsion of immigrants – and later social benefits and inclusion in the Constitution of the right to kill conceived children. besides in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders promises their countrymen a tough anti-migration policy to defend the liberal-left lifestyle. Even in the United States, it is not better: Donald Trump waving a rainbow flag to delight cultural revolutionaries and promoting in vitro is just a lousy caricature of the actual right. The fresh "identical" policy in the West is completely blinded; it can only fight the worst manifestations of the crisis of our civilisation, but is afraid to contact its sources. The people who make it, mostly accept the planet after the revolution, are internally convinced of individualism and liberalism—great intellectual plagues that destruct the West.
Is the dusk of the West inevitable? Spengler, a superb man, had a serious flaw: he was not a Catholic. He treated the improvement of civilization in biological terms. Although he rejected the atheistic Hegelovian pseudo-purpose of the course of history; he remained a determinist. The unexpected birth of Christian civilization in ancient times shows that there is no determinism. But there is Divine Providence. The appearance and improvement of the Catholic West were not a whim of history; they were planned. God wanted to give ultimate authority to Constantine, who accepted Christ as his Lord. So began the age Christianitas.
The West had a mission named Christ. We betrayed this mission – that's why we're dying. But if any of us show the will of authentic Catholic counter-revolution, possibly God will let us, the people of the West, carry His Gospel to the world. Then we'll survive. In human history, there have been times erstwhile the light of hope appeared in the darkest moments. Ultimately, it is not the power of this planet that determines the destiny of civilization, but God and faithful people. Each of us can be the beginning of rebirth – in our family, community, society. Christ said, “Do not be afraid, I have conquered the world.” Those words stay unchanged.
Instead of mourning the past, let us stand ready to build a future rooted in truth, faith, and love. Let our deeds, prayers and evidence of religion bear witness to the hope that the West – renewed by God's grace – may one more time become a lantern for the world.
