The ceremony allowance increase is due to take place on 1 January 2026. From this date, the authorized persons will be entitled to 7 1000 PLN, alternatively of the present 4 1000 PLN. Moreover, this amount will be valued on 1 March if inflation in the erstwhile year exceeds 5 percent. However, before these rules enter into force, the procedure for payment of benefits is to change. The bill related to this was published in a list of legislative work by the government on 16 June 2025. According to the information available on the government website after the adoption of the project, the establishment of the right to a ceremony allowance and its amount will not require a decision by the Social Insurance Institution. The exception is that the ceremony costs are covered by:
more than 1 individual or entity (employer, social assistance house, municipality, county, legal individual of the church or spiritual union), i.e. erstwhile the ceremony allowance is divided between those persons or entities - in proportion to the ceremony costs incurred,
a individual another than a household member, an employer, a social assistance home, a municipality, a county, a legal individual of a church or a spiritual union, i.e. erstwhile a ceremony allowance is entitled to documented ceremony costs.
