Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda announced the modernization of 105 Kresowa Military Hospital. The works included in the plan for the construction of the armed forces by 2035 will include the reconstruction of key branches including pulmonology and cardiology. This is simply a consequence to the parliamentary interpelling of Elżbieta Anna Polak, who stressed the strategical importance of the infirmary for the defence of the region and the country.
At the end of January, Ms Elżbieta Anna Polak (KO) submitted an interview to the Ministry of Defence on the 105 End of Military Hospital with the Public wellness Care Department in Żara with a branch in Żagań. The erstwhile Marshal of Lubuskie Voivodeship wrote that this infirmary is located in buildings of a post-German intellectual institution and requires many renovations, including thermomodernisation of buildings and infirmary rooms.
"In the Lubuskie region we have many military units. This is an crucial area in the defence of the country. In the event of an armed conflict, the modern and well-equipped Military infirmary in Żagań will be highly needed and crucial not only for the region but besides for the full of Poland", said the Pole. She besides asked the head of the MON about, among others, what investment plans the ministry had for the renovation of hospitals in Żagań and Żarach.
In consequence to the interview, Paweł Bejda, Deputy Minister of National Defence, informed that the plan for the construction of our armed forces for the period 2021–2035 included 2 tasks concerning 105 Kresowa Military infirmary in Żara. "Rebuilding of the building to the Pulmonological Branch and the interior Branch, as well as rebuilding the building for the purposes of the intensive cardiological supervision department, the Hemodynamics laboratory and the Cardiology Rehabilitation", the Deputy Minister mentioned.
Currently, smaller construction works are planned in the Lighthouse. 1 of the tenders announced in early February concerns the completion of the renovation of the ground level and staircase premises in 1 of the buildings, the renovation of the surface of the parking lot and the road by the building.
The beginnings of 105 Kresowa Szpital Wojnowego date back to planet War II and the operation of the Mobile infirmary No. 8, which was part of the medical backdrop of the 2nd Polish Army. In 1946, the infirmary was located in Żary. In fresh years, a four-storey, modern facility with space for branches, operating blocks, diagnostic labs and central sterilizer plant has been added to the existing building No. 5. The facility was commissioned in 2021. The investment cost nearly PLN 30 million.
