On 27 November, the rebels attacked the troops. Bashara al-Assada West Aleppo. After 3 days, they captured the city. On 5 December, they took over another crucial centre – Hama. On December 6, they invaded the city of Daara – the place where the Syrian revolution began in 2011. The next day they fell: Homs, Quneitra and Suwayda. Early in the morning of December 8th, a green-white-black flag of winners was hung in the center of Damascus at the Umajjad Mosque. And erstwhile the news of Asad’s escape spread out, there were people on the streets celebrating the end of the dictatorship. The presidential palace was set on fire. The prisoners of the government were released. – We are now the happiest country in the planet – The Syrians are happy.
