Changes in the Prison Service rejected by Senators

On Thursday, the legislature rejected the amendment to the Prison Service Act, which assumes, among others, the creation of the interior Prison Service Inspectorate. Senators' approval besides did not gain the amendment of the penal code, including exacerbating penalties for the most serious crimes, introducing alleged absolute life imprisonment and confiscation of drunk drivers' cars. However, they accepted, with amendments, modifications to the Implementing Code, which alters any of the rules for the execution of prison sentences. All these papers will now go to the Sejm.
