Thanks to you, Poles can feel safe in their homes – wrote Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to soldiers serving on the east border. After six months of service, the 3rd shift from the Task Force of the Podlasie, the core of which was the Amber Division, returns home. Their place, for the second time, was taken by the military from the 18th Mechanized Division.
"Service on the border is fundamental to the safety of Poland and its citizens. It is here all day that you defy hybrid aggression, illegal migration and organized crime," wrote Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence in a letter to the participants of the ceremony of handing command over Military Task Force Podlasie.
The appeal for this occasion was held in Karakula close Białystok at the “Green” Exercise Centre. "Your attitude, determination and willingness to act effectively hold back attempts to destabilise our state, which are part of the imperialist geopolitical game," the deputy prime minister pointed out in a letter read by Stanisław Wzątek, Deputy Minister of Defence.

"Our goal is clear and unchanging, supporting the Border defender in countering illegal border crossings and ensuring the safety of the state and its citizens," said General Lewandowski. He assured that his soldiers were perfectly prepared for this task.
During the ceremony awarded to soldiers, among others, the awards “For the protection of the border of the Republic of Poland” were presented.
