In 2018, there was a chance to leave the shift all six months. The European Commission has proposed to abolish the change in time. This proposal was supported by the European Parliament, but the substance is stuck in the EU Council. For the last time, the EU Council dealt with the issue in 2019. The difficulty was that countries had to communicate with each another and coordinate at which time - summertime or winter - they wanted to stay. The final decision inactive hasn't been settled.

PKP Polish Railways reported that in a specially prepared timetable, trains moving around 3.00 will halt for about 60 minutes at the nearest station and then embark on a further journey. The arrival hours at the destination station will stay unchanged. On Sunday, October 26, the trains will run normally, according to the current schedule.

At the time of the change of time, 22 trains will run on the railway network of Polish Railways. The halt will cover 13 trains of the Railway Intercity, 2 RegioJet, 1 Leo Express, 2 teams of the Mazowieckie Railways, 3 Railways of the Fast Urban Railways in Tricity and 1 Polregio.
