ITF proposes to introduce changes in the calculation of tennis points. The Federation wants to implement a division into 3 types of labels – it responds to the needs of players and tennis tournament organizers.
The global Tennis Federation (ITF) changes electronic judging systems for tennis matches and introduces their categorization. The basic criterion will be reliability – on this basis the systems will receive a circumstantial label: gold, silver or brown.
“Golden” systems will be utilized to justice large-slam tournaments and, for example, in the Billie Jean King Cup or the Davies Cup. “Silver” – in ITF tournaments, and “brown” – during national games.
ITF emphasises that all 3 categories are assessed against identical criteria: accuracy, reliability, usability and practicality. The introduction of labels is intended to aid monitor judging systems and guarantee advanced standards.
