Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski informed on Tuesday on X of the cancellation of the diplomatic passport of PiS associate Zbigniew Ziobry, who is presently in Hungary. The erstwhile Minister of Justice is prosecuted by Polish services on the basis of 26 allegations concerning alleged irregularities in the Justice Fund.

"At the request of the National Prosecutor's Office, I revoked Zbigniew Z's diplomatic passport," Sikorski wrote on social media. This is, of course, about Zbigniew Ziobra, a erstwhile Minister of Justice in the PiS government, and now a associate of this party.

Ziobro resides in Budapest, Hungary, where he left just before filing 26 charges, including the establishment and management of an organised crime group, in connection with alleged abuses erstwhile distributing funds from the Justice Fund. The politician had previously proposed that his proceeding on the substance be held in Hungary or in Brussels, but the prosecutor rejected the idea.

MFA has revoked the diplomatic passport of Ziobry

The D.A. is demanding a provisional arrest against Ziebra, which would let a BOLO to be issued for the policy. In December, the court will decide.

The cancellation of the diplomatic passport of the erstwhile head of the justice department means that it will be deprived of the peculiar privileges it enjoys, for example diplomats – i.e. immunity abroad. Like Marcin Romanowski, Ziobrze can besides receive his civilian passport. Then he will be able, like Romanowski, to apply for the Geneva Travel paper – a travel paper issued to people who do not have a valid passport of their country. The paper makes it possible to travel between countries.
