Zbigniew Ziebra's proceeding began on Monday afternoon. Before that he was detained by the service at Chopin Airport in Warsaw.
Ziobro abruptly raised the subject during the hearing
Prior to the hr of 14, committee president Magdalena Magpieka asked the erstwhile MS chief if he was feeling well. Zbigniew Ziobro replied that I was looking for a medical certificate to present it to committee members.
That's erstwhile he addressed his illness. – due to the cancer I had, the severe surgery, my left vocal cord is inactive damaged. Therefore, the experts stated that in 1 day I should not talk more than 3 hours intensively," he said.
He assured that he was ready for further discussion, but "has a voice problem". "Unfortunately, this problem is the consequence of a long-term illness, later cancer and as a consequence of the removal of cancer, which caused permanent harm to health," explained the erstwhile minister.
A 10-minute break was so ordered. The proceeding continued after this time.
Let us remind that in 2023 Zbigniew Ziobro abruptly stopped appearing on the political phase and in the media. After a while, he revealed that he was struggling with cancer. During the fight against cancer, the erstwhile Minister of Justice underwent chemotherapy as well as a complex operation in Brussels.
Confusion during Ziobra interrogation
As we wrote in NaTemat.pl, during the hearing, the PiS MP Sebastian Łukaszewicz suspended a card with the image of Roman Giertych before Magdalena Sroka and a quote: "It is simply better not to contact the substance of Polnordu" and an additional note: associate of the Pegasua commission dated 24 June 2025. This is simply a quote from 1 of Onetu's articles.
The president commented: "I see that the gentlemen have decided to do the circus again. I realize that's the method. The Lord is pleased, the audience is looking at us." Patryk Jaskulski from Poland 2050 took off the card and Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska tore it.
Let us add that at first Ziobro admitted that "he had cognition of the application of the erstwhile Minister of Transport Sławomir Nowak's Pegasus software", which is more to be read here.
