On Monday 27 January, the territory Court of Warsaw issued a decision to detain and force the arrest of Mr Zbigniew Ziobra before the Parliamentary Committee of enquiry for Pegasus. This was possible by taking distant an immunity politician earlier.
Siemoniak about Ziobry’s statements on “ashenal”
Before the arrest decision, Ziobro spoke of civilian opposition and boasted of possession of firearms. On the 1 hand, he pointed out that it would not have occurred to him to harm police officers. On the another hand, he said that he had "an arsenal of various weapons units, so I could most likely do it."
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak was asked by journalists of Virtual Poland if Zbigniew Ziobro wanted to scare the officers with his words. He said the cops were safe. However, he pointed out that PiS politicians show a deficiency of maturity, saying akin things.
– In specified cases the police are utilizing adequate resources and must take into account specified circumstances, especially after specified statements," said Siemoniak. "For police officers it sounded terrible that the Minister of Justice in the context of any detention or action boasts about his arsenal of weapons," he added. He's worn a weapon behind a belt before. Something is incorrect here – he reminded.
The Minister of Interior and Administration besides announced that he had asked the chief of police to analyse Ziobra's words. "I recommended the police to examine all aspects of the speech, as if it were about all another citizen. “I look forward to the results of this verification,” he said. “I asked for an analysis due to the fact that I think that specified a message cannot pass without an echo, due to the fact that the police must have cognition here,” he noted.
Ziobro commented on his own words
On Monday, the politician issued a message – as he explained, in connection with media manipulation. "When asked by journalists whether I would defy actively, if the court ordered me to bring me to the illegal investigation committee, I replied repeatedly that I would not," says Zbigniew Ziobro.
"I meant that although I have legal weapons, there is no danger for police officers on my part. I said I'd follow their instructions and even have tea. I have only pointed out that I will show them the judgments of the Constitutional Court indicating the criminal nature of the court's judgement if specified a judgement were to occur," we read in his entry.
The politician continues: “It is simply a publically known fact that I have been active in sports shooting for many years and have legal weapons. My statement, confirming this fact, the government media deliberately manipulated.”
