A fresh EU regulation enters into force on 25 May, which introduces crucial changes in the Green Deal for farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and agrarian improvement has announced that the fresh regulation aims to simplify any of the policy elements that have so far influenced farmers' production decisions and imposed restrictions on agricultural production. Abolition of the Falling work 4% of Arable Land
One of the key elements of the fresh regulation is the abolition of the work to set aside 4% of arable land (GAEC 8). Instead, an ecoschema will be introduced for which farmers will receive money.
What does it mean for Farmers?
The abolition of the work to make land fall means that farmers will have more freedom to manage their land. They can now usage these land for agricultural production, which can increase their income. The ecoschema, which replaces the work to fail, provides for payments to farmers, which is an additional incentive to keep sustainable farming.

In practice, this means exempting farms up to 10 hectares of agricultural land from environmental standards requirements. tiny farms will have a lower administrative burden, which can improve their competitiveness and profitability.
New Ecoschema ‘Grounds excluded from Production’
A fresh eco-schema “Deprived Lands” will besides enter into force. Farmers implementing this strategy will receive a payment for excluding arable land from production to a maximum area of 4% of the area of arable land on the holding.
Payment rates
The estimated payment rate is around 126.52 EUR/ha, which represents about 563 PLN/ha. This is an additional incentive for farmers to implement green activities and manage their land in a sustainable way.
