No 1 expected that. A certain Margaret Tomczak in a long text published in the Friday edition of the Wyborcza paper agrees with the right hand. This only applies to our east border with Gubernia Minsk. I wonder if and erstwhile it's time for the others...
PIsovian murderers of children and women, throwing the corpses of their murdered refugees on the Belarusian side is the past. Now there's another narrative.
Families with children, educated Afghan, pregnant female - people like Holland's film, are on the border with exceptions
After 2 years of writing about migration and the crisis at the border, I have no uncertainty that we are producing false knowledge
The crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border has been presented in 2 narratives for 2 years: this anti-immigration opening, referring to safety and this humanitarian one, focused on the violation of asylum rights and frequently referring to the Holocaust.
This second discourse, which has previously functioned mainly in the relations of activists and any media, has been cemented in fresh months by the book by Mikołaj Grynberg "Jesus died in Poland" and the movie "Green Border".
Both works are of the nature of interventionist publicist with clear diagnosis and guidelines: evil happens, racism kills, we have blood on our hands. The authors do not hide that they are to shake us; after digesting these stories we are to go and do "something" so that they do not repeat themselves. The reaction should take place immediately, due to the fact that "this is inactive happening".
I'm afraid if individual actually gets out of the chair to change that reality, they won't find it. due to the fact that although the works function in the debate as almost documentary records of the situation on the border, in fact they show only its small, filtered section. They don't ask real questions, and they put the full complexity of the subject into black and white categories. As cultural texts they have the right to do so – only how are we expected to talk about the migration crisis based on specified images?

Wait, wait... Barbara Hollender, a movie critic known for decades (including Rzeczpospolita) wrote on September 22, 2023:
Agnieszka Holland's movie is mostly based on facts. The writers listened to tens of accounts, had many conversations. The black and white, excellent pictures of Tomasz Naumiuk appear to be paradocumentary. Actors don't play here. They're just, deep in their roles.
I am outraged by the treatment of the Green Border as a political agitator. Looking at these paintings, I think of “Fuocoammare. Fire at sea" Gianfranco Rossi about the tragedy of refugees drowning in the sea during illegal crossings to Italian Lampedusa.
Agnieszka Holland's film, like Rossi's documentary, is simply a large cry. Not politics. Man.

And here... the ZONK!
It turns out that these "facts" are truly any monstrous fantasy. Margaret Tomczyk continues:
Refugees in the movie Holland are families with young children; educated, well-speaking English Afghan woman; pregnant woman. Most of Grynberg's interlocutors have besides talked about specified "sensitive group" and they have appeared in most media relations in fresh years - in contrast to the images of "young bulls" which he gave us to the right hand. The movie takes us back to a time erstwhile there was no fence. This feature selection allows for another: on the recently created, inactive unrecognized and comparatively easy to cross the trail, in fact there were many children, women and people little fit. Setting the movie in 2021 besides allows to resurrect the communicative from the beginning of the crisis: these people were deceived; they are trapped, (in guess: if they knew what it was, they wouldn't be there). If the movie was only planted a fewer months later, after the barrier was built, it would require showing how it is crossed: cut and undermined by tools or utilizing ladders provided by smugglers. People like Holland's movie are now on the verge of exceptions - for the simple reason that the barrier is besides hard to overcome.
None of these Syrian children, pregnant women and educated Afghan women came up with – they were besides there, saw their characters Grynberg and Holland, helped them with Podlasie residents. These are the people who are more likely to study to activists for help. There's no curse here.
But there is simply a large unrepresentativeness due to the fact that the vast majority of people on the routes to Europe are young men. In the last year women were only 10% and children were 17 percent, many of which were 16-17-year-olds. We say that right-wing propaganda distorts the image of migration, without showing children and women, and we do the same – with statistic on their side. We do the same with their reason and intent of departure – to right-wing "these migrants" we answer "no, these refugees"; we callback Syria, Afghanistan, wars and cultural cleansing in the mediate East. These people always "flee from hell," not "to a better life." Their destiny was set by terrible events, and we can save them. There is no choice, no free will and no decision.
Only in the statistic of irregular migration to Europe in fresh years are the Tunisians, Egyptians and Moroccans. There are more and more Algerians, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, and the largest group from Calais to the UK last year were Albanians. In the top 10 countries of origin, people who got into Germany through Belarus and Poland are not only Syrians and Afghans, but besides Egyptians, Hindus and Turks. The vast majority of citizens of these countries will not meet the narrow criteria for granting global protection and will not receive exile status. In most cases, they will not be covered by any law that allows them to enter Europe and legalise their stay.
(Gazeta Wyborcza, op. cit.)
Wait, wait... So not refugees, but only people looking for benefits allowing them to have a better standard of surviving than in the Homeland, in addition without the provision of any work???????????????????????
And statistically... the right is right, not "good people" like any kind of actor, calling out words commonly regarded as abusive Polish border guards???
Editor Gaz. It exposes left-wing vulnerables further:
Activists, and so based solely on their relation journalists and creators, talk about it reluctantly. "Migrant", especially "economic", functions in discourse as a kind of right-wing insult. In order to balance it, the humanitarian communicative calls all "refugees" and the argument "there is no war in Egypt," he replies, "here we have circumstantial individuals persecuted politically, and here due to sexual orientation." These may besides be "refugees", we have examples, the discussion closed. And that these are exceptions to the regulation due to the fact that most people migrate from specified countries for economical reasons? Unfortunately, it's besides akin to right-wing propaganda, not to swallow for mainstream audience, so we just skip it.
The demographics of migration routes should besides be improved to avoid pricking into a delicate European eye: not showing groups of young men, focusing on women, children, sick and aged people, due to the fact that they are the only ones causing comparative empathy. If there must be men, at least from Syria and Afghanistan. And let them ask us for protection, due to the fact that the mass migration of Tunisians and Moroccans across the sea to Europe for a better life, within our borders of empathy, is impossible. They should besides have higher education and talk English; they should be a bit like ourselves, and at the same time possibly useful in society.
(op. cit.)
The comic thing, however, is that abruptly the leading war average with the left-wing government notes that the people dropped us by imperial politician Minsk Lukashenko... they have no chance, or negligiblely small, of obtaining asylum under global law!
In the activist communicative on the border everything is black and white: refugees search asylum in Poland; Border defender does not respect their right to protection in Poland and uses pushbacks. Since they are illegal, officers commit a crime for which they will be punished. The solution to the problem at the border is rather simple: it is adequate to accept applications for global protection from these people, to let them to follow procedures; to those who meet the criteria, to grant exile position and to deport others. This is what activists request and that is what people on the migration way want – to simply apply to them the Polish Law on granting protection to foreigners, the Geneva Convention, European asylum law.
Only that the thorough application of these rights is just what most people on the Belarusian border do not want.
Let's presume that border guards have modeled respect for asylum law. Syrian, Afghan or Yemeni – individual who has a good chance of asylum in Western Europe – will avoid gathering specified a law-abiding guard. If he applies for global protection in Poland, he will block his way to asylum procedures in Germany, the Netherlands or Sweden under European law. erstwhile he enters Poland and leaves for the West, he will be turned back in accordance with European asylum law; relatively, he will gotta go down to the grey region and live without papers, work and wellness care rights, insurance and the ability to bring his household together.
If individual is from a country another than "war" - Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, Yemen, Somalia, Eritrea - the more he does not want to meet a defender who respects the law, due to the fact that he will go to detention and be deported. Iraqi in Germany has about 40% chance of asylum, in Poland – little than 1. After all, people do not spend money on coming to Europe and do not hazard their lives on trails to see if they pass the Polish asylum test.
The biggest problem of people on the Polish-Belarusian border and others is not that "Poland does not apply global asylum law to them", but that there is no law that would let them to go where they are going.
(op. cit.)
Finally, we hear words that right-wing (or only patriotic) journalists were afraid to use. After all, it is easy to imagine the amount of hatred that would affect individual who would give specified an insulting thesis.
However, after the election, erstwhile any of the voters went to vote for a "coalition", only Kaczyński's thugs should be removed from power and judged harshly by bandits, the communicative changes.
The reason is simple. Poland is only a phase through which it would be best to fly. It's Germany, France... Countries where you can actually settle and live on a pot of locals for years or decades.
Therefore, nobody wants to usage the average road and apply for asylum in Poland.
Of course, it could change at any moment. It is adequate for the EU to recognise that benefits can be akin in each country. Then there will indeed be no reason why people will be drawn to the economical and banking centre of the EU.
However, it is hard to imagine that Germany would agree to specified a move. However, this will indirectly strengthen their neighbours (the money from the “refugee” benefits will be spent on site, and this will not necessarily strengthen the German economy).
But the most revealing strategy of "left-wing vulnerables" p. Tomczak left for last.
What about the communicative of "little Eileen" – a four-year-old girl whose disappearance in the woods was to study her parents pushed to Belarus? The case was written by all the media, intervened by the ombudsman, and then the subject abruptly disappeared. I returned to the posts and tens of articles from those days: a gigantic agitation on Polish services – "murderers"; on their passiveness and inadequate search for the child; graphics comparing Eileen to "Girls in a Red Mantle". Also, fewer doubts: Why is the only proof of a girl’s existence to be taken off a part of her coat and shoe and disposed of with equally outraged voices: “Man, do you cling to the details? The kid may be dead!"
Today we know Eileen didn't exist. It was 1 of the stories the activists heard and passed on. It echoed widely and was an crucial part of the communicative about "children dying on the border", which is now perpetuated by "Green Border"; for example, during the election debate about children dying on the border, Joanna Scheering-Wielgus spoke. I think We do not know of any documented case of the death of a kid on the Polish border. This does not mean, of course, that there were no specified ones, even on the another side of the border and that we should not talk about specified risks – but for now We discussed with large outrage about a kid that did not exist.
(op. cit.)
To complete this circumstantial seppuku Margaret Tomczak writes anything exhibitionistly.
Activists working on the border and writing journalists about it combine a sense of belonging to a widely understood left-liberal bubble, a desire to argue government narratives and right-wing media, or to view themselves as a sensitive, open-minded and "wanting to do something good". We want to separate ourselves as much as possible from the brown TVP, take the right place in a duel of good and evil. erstwhile we compose about the border, we meet with activists, sleep in their homes, go to interventions and, of course, have a close relationship. Their status, however, plays the top role: activists save people; their mission is superior to ours, interests more important, authority - unquestionable. They are heroes, half-gods, "righteous", and the accounts of specified people are not disputed. Experiences of utmost situations and trauma give them legitimacy, where a journalist, investigator or another creator writing something from behind a desk based on data can feel like imposter.
These soft influence mechanisms have defeated me. For 2 years of listening to what “ethical journalism” is, reading various “works for journalists – how to compose wisely” and tens of more or little subtle suggestions, what to compose “needs”, “not allowed”, or “what to talk about only erstwhile it's all over”, I made various micro-choices that made present my texts mostly untrue.
(op. cit.)
I don't think Holland's manager always got that honest. I besides do not believe that reviewers Green border They always got up from their knees and started scoring the apparent absurdities of this propaganda production.
I'd alternatively anticipate any self-criticism from Mr. Tomczak. possibly a longer silence.
On the another hand, it must be understood that the nonsubjective of overthrowing the "murder" and "anti-democratic" government has been achieved; now it is time to defend Berlin.
And although Ochojska cries with joy at the very thought that the wall will be demolished, it seems alternatively that in the next year's elections to the EP it will not be advanced by any group and the memory of it will slow die.
Ochojski has already done his occupation and he can go.
And the wall, as it actually defends Berlin, will remain.
Maybe even make it stronger.
