93 states voted for the Ukrainian resolution, 18 against, and 65 countries abstained. Among those against were the United States and Russia. China abstained. In addition, the UN besides adopted a resolution tabled by the US, which originally only referred to the regret of "the tragic failure of life in the Russian Federation's conflict with Ukraine", did not condemn the Russian invasion and reiterated that the UN's main nonsubjective was to keep global peace and safety and to settle disputes peacefully.
