On Sunday, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski wished Easter Christians a Western rite. He wished all of God's grace and peaceful life on Ukrainian soil, expressing his conviction that the strength of the spirit and the best in men will overcome evil, war and injustice.
"I cordially greet everyone who celebrates Easter in Ukraine and around the planet today. I want all of God's grace and peaceful life on our land and under the Ukrainian sky, which our brave soldiers defend. Let the strength of each of us, our spirit, all that is best in men – let all this surely overcome evil and darkness, Shaheda and rockets, injustice and occupation" wrote Zelenski in the Telegram communicator.
He pointed out that in hard times for the Ukrainian people and for all mankind hope – to win life over death, good over evil, fact over lie – becomes stronger than ever.
“Let all prayers for protection from evil be answered today. May religion unite good hearts and strengthen those who defend their homes. Let all nation approach actual security. We believe in peace! We believe in Ukraine!” said Zelenski.
Sunday is 1502nd day of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
