What is happening in Poland is of large concern. We don't yet know whether it will be just an episode or whether we are just experiencing the beginning of a long and grim era. However, it is impossible not to ask how we got this far. And 1 can't aid but worry whether it won't end the way our squabbles and disputes ended in the agonal phases of the First and Second Republics, as the geopolitical situation is besides becoming more threatening.
