We are approaching a demographic disaster

In 2025 the fertility rate in Poland will scope only 1.03 – this is the lowest level in the full European Union and 1 of the worst in the world. This indicator indicates how many children are on average per female of childbearing potential.

By 2035, the number of people active in Poland will decrease by about 2.1 million. The sectors of education, wellness and manufacture will be the most affected.

Last year there were 252,000 births in Poland – more than 20 1000 little than a year earlier. This is the lowest birth rate in the full post-war period. All indications are that this year may be even worse.

At the end of the first 4th of 2025, the population of Poland was 37.4 million, a decrease of almost 158 1000 compared to the same period of the erstwhile year.
