Zbigniew Ziobro is punished. Asylum in Hungary and so much more than 1 reprimand

Zbigniew Ziobro played for his absence from the Sejm meetings. The erstwhile Minister of Justice was punished with reprimand. Now the resolution will go to the talker of the Sejm, who will be able to decide to take the diet and reduce the wage of the Member.


The Sejm's Rules of Procedure, Members' Affairs and Immunities Committee punished Zbigniew Ziobra for "not performing parliamentary duties". 9 members of the committee were in favour of punishing the MP, 6 opposed specified a decision.

The resolution clarifies that "on the basis of Article 22(1), point (3), the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Members' Affairs and Immunities grants Mr Zbigniew Ziobrze a reprimand on the grounds of non-execution of parliamentary duties by not participating without justification in Parliament's meetings for more than 18 consecutive days of Parliament's meetings".

So far, Ziobro has been reprimanded and can appeal against her. Later, the movement belongs to the Marshal of the Sejm. Włodzimierz Czarzasty has already announced that he will submit a draft resolution to the Bureau of the Sejm on the failure of parliamentary allowance and simplification of parliamentary wage to 1 tenth of the gross wage per month.

Let us remind that Ziobro has been utilizing political asylum in Hungary since December 2025. Investigators want to file 26 charges against him, the most serious of which is to run an organized crime group. According to the D.A., he was to participate in the withdrawal of funds from the Justice Fund, which was intended to support victims of crime. Politician declares that he was acting under the law.

The territory Court for Warsaw-Mokotowa on 5 February decided to temporarily detain Zbigniew Ziobra. A BOLO was issued a day later. On Tuesday 10 February, the National Prosecutor's Office applied for a European Arrest Warrant against the Law and Justice Policy.
