Confederate press conference attended by Michał Waver and Bartłomiej Pejo, 12 June 2024.
– There may not be an amount free of PIT of 60,000. There may not be an amount free of Belka's tax, or at least not in the form that the Platform promised before the elections – but for that Minister Domański is preparing an increase in rent taxOh, my God!
It is the information which present warmed up the economical press that the Minister of Domański, Ministry of Finance is preparing to increase the flat rate from the rental of apartments. Which means, of course, everyone who rents apartments right now will pay more. And that means that those who at the minute are reasoning about going on their own in the coming months or years, moving out from their parents and even starting to rent an flat – due to the fact that obviously, under the regulation of this and the erstwhile government they cannot afford their own – but who would at least want to rent an flat and, for example, start a household there, should be even higher costs than before.
Undoubtedly in a fewer weeks, a fewer months, erstwhile a peculiar task sees the light of day, we will hear quite a few very clever sounding justifications: that this serves to shift investments of Poles from the housing marketplace to the stock exchange. I'm certain there'll be an expert out there who'll turn the logic upside down and explain that this taxation increase truly serves to heal the housing market. Don't fall for it!
The Citizens' Platform strategy is clear.
In the first step, a credit of 0%, raising housing prices, hindering access to property housing, filling the compartment with developers and global capital.
The second step, so that it is not that only those who want to own apartments are harmed, those who rent apartments will besides be harmed. Those who must yet bear this final economical cost of the taxation increase will pay higher rent and have even more hard access to the apartment.
Everybody's gonna get hit. Everyone but the developers, of course. And those who presently own several, several, twelve apartments. Apart from global investment funds buying out full settlements at the moment.
For an average Pole who wants to own an flat or who wants to rent it, The government has 1 simple message: you gotta pay more to save the state budget and to save the developers' budgets.
The Confederacy calls for reassurance! It calls for us to take real measures to heal the housing market, not yet deteriorating the situation in which Poles are at the moment.
