Drunk drivers are increasingly losing their cars, and the Treasury is counting millions of proceeds. According to the Ministry of Finance data, between 1 January and 30 September 2025 4,4 1000 vehicle forfeiture decisions were received by the heads of taxation offices under Article 44b of the Criminal Code. This is simply a clear increase compared to last year and evidence that the fresh rules are being applied in practice.
