Thank you Trump, thank you West!
The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization sealed the end of Western hegemony.
Political errors and arrogance of the West of fresh decades have foretold the end of Western hegemony. Trump unwittingly reinforced her. The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization surely sealed the end of Western hegemony.

Anti-Spiegel4 September 2025
Over the past 30 years, the West has acted with expanding arrogance in its abroad policy. The countries of Asia and Africa were expected to submit to the western political and economical system, forget their traditions, adopt the western “values” and supply the West with unlimited access to its markets and natural materials. Countries that refused were accused of disrupting free trade and imposing sanctions on them. Or they were bombarded by the West (or his supporters in the form of Islamists armed by the West), as in Libya or Syria.
It is so no wonder that in fresh years more and more countries of the Global South have been openly or openly seeking a way out, for example alternatives to trade in dollars and the euro, as the West has long since turned its currencies into weapons in a war of sanctions.
Russian president Putin correctly expressed this during the panel discussion in 2018, asking how Russia intends to retreat from the dollar. His consequence to the US was:
"We do not want to retreat from the dollar; the dollar withdraws from us. Those who take these steps not only shoot themselves in the knee, but even higher."
Today, 7 years later, it is reality. In part, thanks to sanctions, Russia is practically no longer trading dollars or the euro, and many another countries, specified as the BRICS members, mostly no longer trading, at least among themselves, in the Western currencies, but in its national currencies.
The Global South besides gained political encouragement, due to the fact that the example of Russia, which easy abolished the mass sanctions of the West, showed the outside planet that the era of Western all-power under the leadership of the United States had come to an end.
However, the West reacted according to the only strategy that it inactive knows after 30 years of arrogant and aggressive abroad policy: sanctions or threats of sanctions and arrogant reproofs. This accelerated the process of turning distant from the West in the outside world.
Responses to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit
Summit the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), It could have been a turning point. At least the Western reactions, which so far mostly ignored the SCO summits, indicate this direction. At this summit, the SCO countries set their own priorities for the next 10 years, and the West played no function in this. For example, Ukraine, which has long been the number 1 issue in the West, was not even mentioned in the final declaration of the SCO Summit. The remainder of the planet is no longer curious in the agenda of the West.
Western reactions besides showed that he understood the moment. The Finnish president commented on the summit as follows:
"My message, not only to my European colleagues, but especially to the United States, is that if we do not prosecute a more uniform and appropriate abroad policy, especially towards countries of the Global South, specified as India, we will lose. Therefore, I think this gathering in China is simply a good reminder for the full Global West of the stakes of this game."
Head of EU diplomacy Kallas said:
"The fact that the president of China stands in Beijing alongside the leaders of Russia, Iran and North Korea is not only anti-Western. This is simply a direct challenge for a principled global order."
She rightly noted this due to the fact that the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation had a key message: the planet must re-observ global law and the Charter of the United Nations, de facto opposed to the “rule-based world” invented by the United States, whose “rules” the United States unilaterally sets and freely changes depending on the situation, but they want to impose them on all another countries. This is what the global South no longer wants to participate in.
U.S. president Trump published a very emotional entry that clearly showed him how much it hurt that he was not invited to a gathering where fresh superpowers – Russia, China and Russia – coordinated their cooperation.
Perhaps Trump's key error
Perhaps the decisive mistake that accelerated the inevitable was Trump's mistake, which imposed criminal duties on India for continuing to acquisition Russian oil. India boasts its independency and neutrality. Therefore, they deliberately ignored the duties and the Indian defence minister canceled the journey to the US to finalise the sale of arms to India as the United States had long sought to become an arms supplier to India, and so on.
India and China have a long-standing rivalry, and border disputes besides disrupt their relations. A fresh conflict even occurred between their armed forces on a common border where there were fatalities.
In the context of Trump's policies India and China have drawn close at a evidence rate. The example of Russia and China, which only 20 years ago had a very bad relationship, showed that nothing binds 2 countries better than the common enemy. Trump repeated this U.S. mistake by pushing India right into China's arms, and the 2 countries abruptly began constantly exchanging courtesy. president Xi and Prime Minister Modi embraced and laughed together at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization – images that would have been unthinkable a fewer weeks ago.
As I have already mentioned, the opposition of the Global South to the West is not Trump's "deed"; the origin is Western policy from the past decades. Trump, however, has definitely accelerated this process, forcing India and China to unite and rapidly forget each other's injuries.
Even Der Spiegel...
Even Der Spiegel, who is usually distinguished by negation and cover-up of all Western problems, abruptly acknowledged in an editorial article titled "New planet Order – Xi and Putin have a better narrative" What I have written for years: the standard of surviving in the West is no longer unique, and the West, its politics and its "values" are no longer a desirable goal for the remainder of the world. For example, Der Spiegel writes:
"At the same time, what much of the planet erstwhile admired the West is fading. His reputation as a strategy with a higher economical position has weakened since the global financial crisis. As a political project, polarized democracies, paralyzed by conflicts, lost their luster. All moral forces that remained after the war in Iraq under the leadership of the United States are now being destroyed by the Israeli devastation of Gaza."
That's a full fresh tone. Since the financial crisis, the Western strategy has no longer been considered a desirable model worldwide. The oligarchical strategy of the West, in which banks were able to bring the planet to the brink due to their tremendous profits through speculation, was never forgotten. Banks made profits, and average people paid for taxation losses.
This is not a desirable strategy for the remainder of the world, since respective super-rich people and corporations de facto It has taken over power and can be impunityfully rich at the expense of the general public.
Der Spiegel does not express it as clearly as I do, but that's what Der Spiegel's words mean in simple language.
Western arrogance
It is equally amazing that Der Spiegel abruptly remembers the war in Iraq over 20 years ago, which Der Spiegel then served with all his propaganda force. This illegal war was besides not well received by the remainder of the planet due to the fact that it was nothing more than a law of the jungle: American corporations wanted to take over Iraqi oil fields and the American army took over them, for which a lie about Iraqi weapons of mass demolition was invented. The remainder of the planet hasn't forgotten.
Der Spiegel's designation as "polarized" is besides an interesting statement, as this polarisation was intentionally induced by media specified as Der Spiegel. For years the West has been governed by the rule of "share and rule", and society is becoming increasingly divided.
Politics and media fuel conflicts between women and men (radical feminism), between gays and heterosexuals (sex madness and LGBT nonsense), migrants and indigenous residents, “left and right” and so on.
After decades of promoting individual freedom in the West, according to which everyone can do what they want (even if it offends others), and constantly focusing on what divides them, Western societies have become profoundly divided, radicalized and polarized.
The fact that it was Der Spiegel, of all the magazines that promoted and pushed this thesis so vigorously, now laments it, shows that Spiegel's editorial office seemingly inactive did not realize the real problem. But even if Der Spiegel did not see what the problem was, at least he saw that the problem existed and that the remainder of the planet was looking the another way, for example erstwhile the Olympic Games began in Paris.
The West is no longer a function model.
Der Spiegel continues:
“The West is no longer a function model, as it considers itself. The arabian and Asian mediate class sees Europe as a picturesque vacation destination, but surely not as a measurement of everything. In Africa and Latin America, they can no longer stand Western talks about human rights, while migrants die at its borders. The planet is annoyed that Europeans and people of North America in the 21st century inactive consider themselves to be civilizationally better, insisting on the position of primacy like “the master of property” without noticing that the balance of power has changed.”
There's not much to add here, but that Der Spiegel puts it very carefully. Europe was erstwhile a dream place to live besides for the mediate class from another countries. Today, Europe is just an exotic vacation destination for the remainder of the planet – but for the people of the mediate East and Africa who are completely impoverished or torn from their roots.
Double standards and neocolonialism
Incidentally, Western double human rights standards have different causes than drowning refugees, which Der Spiegel does not mention. What about Guantanamo? What about Assange or Edward Snowden? What about the freedom of speech which Europe is increasingly limiting, calling it "the speech of hatred"? What about the wars in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and so on? no of this has been forgotten in the Global South.
And what about Der Spiegel's trivial expression that the planet is "sirred" due to the fact that "Europeans and North Americans in the 21st century inactive consider themselves to be civilizationally better, insisting on a position of superiority, like a "master on property", there is simply a method word that Der Spiegel evidently does not mention: neocolonialism and racism.
Russia and China are opposed to all of this and are offering the planet a different model: equal rights for all states, no unilateral sanctions, trade agreements based on equality, not exploitation, etc. Of course, the remainder of the planet is happy to accept it.
But Der Spiegel doesn't want to tell his readers so clearly.
The West is no longer capable of diplomacy.
Russia and China can relax due to the fact that the West has forgotten what diplomacy means. Western “diplomats” will proceed to walk with their fingers raised, instructing all countries from above, due to the fact that Western belief in their own superiority and infallibility is besides profoundly rooted. Think only of Baerbock's "feminist abroad policy", which the full planet laughed at – especially the Arabs whom the West so desperately needed against Russia. Or about Nasty Faser, which was demonstrably wearing a LGBT band on a mundial in Qatar and angered the hosts, from whom Habeck only hoped for favorable conditions for selling liquefied natural gas. Neither was the gas agreement.
The West – and especially the EU – will proceed this due to the fact that there are no more politicians who know what they are doing, but only politicians who have memorized clichés and are completely radicalized ideologically. This will only accelerate the ongoing failure of power by the West.
Diplomats in the West are no longer trained in diplomacy, but in ideology. erstwhile Russia, for example, sends diplomats to another countries, they learn their trade at the University of the Russian Ministry of abroad Affairs, talk the language of the host country and know it. In the West, the criteria for diplomats are different: they must comply with the regulations; they do not request to know much more.
Russian Ambassador to Germany is simply a Germanist and worked in Germany or with Germany throughout his almost 50-year career.
German diplomats, on the another hand, must leave the host country at the latest after 5 years, erstwhile they begin to realize it a little, and are sent to another country. According to Baerbock, the biggest problem of the German Ministry of abroad Affairs was the increase in the participation of women among candidates for diplomatic posts, which requires continuously lowering recruitment criteria to find adequate candidates. It is not that women are bad diplomats – on the contrary – but simply that fewer women dream of a occupation that requires them to start social life from scratch and build a fresh ellipse of friends in a fresh country all 5 years.
These problems concern not only Germany, but all Western countries. That is why Russia and China can be calm, due to the fact that even if the West understood the problem next day and wanted to change something, it would take years to train the applicable diplomats.
