After the last attack at the Warsaw clinic, the medical community says directly: – force towards us has become the norm. She requested a change of entry in the cardFor dramatic scenes – as RMF FM said – occurred in a clinic in Warsaw's Prague North. A 36-year-old female came in to force a doctor to change his medical record. erstwhile he refused, she blocked him from his office and attacked him. She grabbed the stethoscope lying on her desk, wrapped it around the doctor's neck, and clenched it. The medic managed to free himself – he moved distant and relaxed the hug and called for help. Police questioned witnesses of the incident, and after reading the medical personnel' accounts, they stopped an aggressive patient. A 36-year-old girl heard the charge of violating bodily integrity. She's facing 3 years in prison. The police callback that medical personnel in the course of their duties enjoy the same legal protection as public officials. Anyone who commits force or insults to a doctor must face criminal responsibility. Patients are increasingly attacking doctorsIn the medical community, akin cases are increasingly reported. Threats, manuals, medical tools in the hands of tense patients. Take a drama in Krakow from April this year. A 35-year-old erstwhile patient who had previously accused a doctor of injecting poison entered the orthopedic office at the University Hospital. At the time of the confrontation – as WP.pl informed the service – he pulled out the knife and struck the punches that yet deprived the doctor of his life. This – let's add – was not an impulse. The Aggressor has been harassing the doctor for years with threats and complaints to the Ombudsman. The same trend of force includes a drunk person's attack on a doctor in the emergency ward: the patient forced medical records, started a brawl, hit a medic. In Czestochowa, the patient pushed and hit the doctor, expressing frustration with treatment. In Koszalin, however, in the psychiatrist’s office the patient threw himself at the doctor, utilizing chairs and computer equipment as tools for violence. Why are patients attacking doctors? In the expert opinion, many factors are involved. A patient who feels left alone easy becomes aggressive. erstwhile treatment – subjectively – does not produce results, anger can turn into grief and the request to "measure justice". But motivation can besides be more complicated: intellectual disorders, feelings of being ignored or underestimated. In the case of an aggressor from Krakow, there was talk of obsession, accusations of intentional harm, harassment of a doctor for years. In specified situations, the doctor ceases to be nonsubjective and becomes the mark of individual conflict. These are not only individual dramas, but besides a sign of a wider phenomenon: depreciation of wellness services. In the media, in forums, in media talks, “bad experiences with a doctor”, common accusations and even dehumanization of physicians are repeatedly cited. "They're blowing you off," "they'll take the money and do nothing." That language can drive aggression. The deficiency of consequences for the perpetrators continues to increase impunity. As the doctors themselves note, many cases of aggression end in redemptions.
