From penal colony to Ukrainian army

In Ukraine prisoners will be able to be called to service in the army of this country. Draft Law No 11079-1 developed jointly by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff and the committee of the ultimate Council, was approved by MPs of the Ukrainian Parliament on 8 May at second reading. 279 MEPs voted in favour, 40 abstained and no 1 was against. The draft will not be forced, but voluntary. According to the calculations of Members of the Army, thousands of prisoners will be allowed to enter.
