Yizhuang – Chinese Robotic Valley

chiny24.com 3 weeks ago

In the south of Beijing, in Yizhuang fresh Town, the largest cluster of robotics in China is born. More than 300 companies connected with the fresh manufacture have already gathered here, creating an industrial chain worth more than RMB 10 billion, which is half of the Beijing robotics market.

Systemic state support is the key to success. In August 2025, Yizhuang announced "Ten measures for robots with embodied intelligence" (具身智能机器人十条) – a stimulus package that contains as many as 8 innovations on a national scale. Among them:

    • annual support in the form of ‘data bonds’ worth RMB 100 million,
    • ‘Protocol vouchers’ reducing the first costs,
    • grants for the sale of humanoid robots and
    • support for training platforms.

Each measurement is precisely calibrated and covers the full value chain – from data acquisition and test scenarios to investigation and improvement to commercialisation.

Yizhuang was designated as Beijing's only incubation base for future industries in the field of humanoid robotics. The first flexible robot production platform and pilot verification platform were created here in the capital. An industrial park with an area of 250 1000 square meters has been developed, supported by the creation of an manufacture fund worth RMB 10 billion and the world's first "4S store" with humanoid robots – offering sales, service, spare parts and consultations, like car dealerships.

By building platforms, collecting resources and nurturing ecosystems, Yizhuang has developed a complete industrial chain including basic components, production of complete machines, strategy integration and script solutions. A “1+6” strategy was created, consisting of basic components and six categories of robots:

  • Humanoid,
  • industrial,
  • specialist,
  • medical
  • co-operating and
  • logistics.

Ambitions are clearly defined: by the end of 2027. Yizhuang plans to make at least 10 model script complexes, facilitate the implementation of 100 industry-specific models and attract 1,000 key companies from the industrial chain of artificial intelligence.
