X HOLY HORSESMAN.

The main intent of the event is traditionally to commemorate the presence of the 2nd Regiment of Horse Rifles in Hrubieszów and the heritage of its tradition, together with the restoration of the historical Festival of Regimental 2 PSK.
It promotes the modern building of the defence possible of the Republic over its east border.

The memorial will include a two-day restoration of the conventional Regimental 2nd Regiment of Horse Rifles, which according to the cavalry customized will begin Mass in the garrison church of Our woman of Constant aid in Hrubieszów, on Saturday 13 July 2024, at 11am.

The accompanying cavalry performance demonstrations will then begin as regards the rules of the Polish Army Horse Championships "Militari" from the years II of the Polish Republic.

Within 2 days, the participants will present a dressage, shooting, jumping through obstacles and showing the mastery of white weapons – saber and lance, horse.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Polish Army Horse Championships, which in 1934 he organized in Hrubieszów 2nd Regiment of Horse Rifles.

The reconstruction of the 2nd Regimental Regiment of Horse Rifles in Hrubieszów will remind of the function of Lublin in forming Polish cavalry units in years of fighting for the form of the Independent Borders (1918 - 1921). Their roots are as celebrated as the 1st Colonel Bolesław Mościcki Regiment of the Krechowice Regiment of Ulanów and the 7th General Kazimierz Sosnkowski Regiment of the Lublin Regiment.

The 2nd Cavalry firearm Regiment was formed from cavalry squadrons arriving in Poland from France in the spring of 1919, along with the Blue Army of General Joseph Haller. After the victorious war with russian Russia, in 1920, the regiment received the garrison in Hrubieszów. His traditions proudly proceed the 2nd Hrubieszowski Reconnaissance Regiment of Henryk Dobrzański "Hubala".

Today besides in many units of the 18' Iron's' Mechanized Division, defending the east border of the Republic, inherits the glorious traditions of Polish driving.

The event will present the tradition of Polish cavalry and advanced standards of training. It will besides show the value of their contemporary continuation, including in shaping patriotic attitudes. The context of the time of the event and its place – directs thoughts towards defenders of our Polish borders.

Maciej Szymczak, associate of the Board of the independency Foundation:

– In our opinion, the event effectively contributes to strengthening the links between society and the Polish Armed Forces. In the current hard situation, showing this kind of affirmative relation – referring to the Polish independency tradition – deserves to make all effort.

Daily effort put by bachelors in the perfect performance of duties can inactive be a model of commitment to service to the Homeland. Exposing this heritage in environments that support the tradition of Polish driving – besides in the field of civic education – is 1 of the elements of the event that we have been organising since 2015.

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the evening music festival “LATA DWEDDAY, YEAR TWITH,” organized for residents along with Hrubieszów Municipality in Łotoszyny k/Hrubieszów, at 6 p.m.

The cavalry and dance repertoire from the era will feature "Orkiestra typical of the Volunteer Cavalry Branch in the colours of the 20th Ulan Regiment named after King John III Sobieski", who comes to the Horse firearm Festival from Wierzawic k/Leżajska.
In times II of Poland close the grounds where the festival was held, the 2nd Regiment of Horse Rifles regularly practiced.

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, the K/Hrubieszów Shows of Cavalry Performance (jumps by obstacles, lance and horse sabre shows) and patriotic festival are planned in Łotoszyny k/Hrubieszów from 10:00 p.m. Its crucial component will be static shows of modern military equipment of units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, continuing the arrogant heritage of Polish driving. It will be possible to view the combat equipment of units 18 "Iron" of the Mechanized Division, 2nd Hrubieszovsky Reconnaissance Regiment and 19th Nadbuzhany Territorial Defence Brigade.

What is peculiarly interesting in the context of the Cavalry vacation – the Nadbuzian Territorials, who have highly hard areas located on the Bug border in their territory of responsibility, usage horse patrols in places not accessible to vehicles in their regular service.

A horse patrol of the Territorials will besides be present on Sunday 14 July 2024 in Łotoszyny k/Hrubieszów.

Admission to all events covered by the programme – is free (except for Saturday ceremonies in the 2nd Hrubieszów Kostrzeczowy barracks, JW4055, where for statutory reasons the names of invitations apply)

The independency Foundation organizes the 10th Horse firearm Festival in cooperation with the Hrubieszowska Land Squadron 2nd Horse firearm Regiment and the Municipality of Hrubieszów. The organizers thank the 2nd Hrubieszów Reconnaissance Regiment for their cooperation, 18th "Iron" of the Mechanized Division and 19th Nadbuzhany Brigade of Territorial Defence.

Partner of the event “Xth Horse firearm Festival. The commemoration of the presence of the 2nd Horse firearm Regiment in Hrubieszów and the heritage of its tradition along with the restoration of the historical 2nd PSK Regimental Festival – is the Lublin Region. The event takes part in the Programme “It is worth to be a Pole”, which is organised by the Lublin Region. Due to the large merits of Lublin in the formation of Polish cavalry units, the event is besides part of the celebration of 550 years of Lublin Voivodeship. The event was besides supported by the Office for Combatants and Represented Persons.

Task: “Horse firearm Festival”.
