After 4:00 p.m., the railway traffic between Lubelski and Radzyń Podlaski (Lubelskie) was resumed, where on Thursday morning the car entered the Intercity train on an unguarded railway crossing. A 77-year-old car driver died at the scene.
Prior to 11 a.m. on an unguarded railway crossing – without dams, with halt mark and cross of St.Andrew – in Aleksandrów (POW. Łukaszowski) the passenger car entered the Intercity train of the relation Warsaw East – Lublin Główna. Of the 60 on the train, nobody got hurt. Police reported a 77-year-old car driver killed at the scene.
For respective hours traffic on railway line no. 30 between Łukow and Radzyń Podlaski was halted. Passengers of the train from Warsaw to Lublin moved to the bus. Bus communication was besides introduced for another trains at the time.
After 4 p.m., the police in the social media informed about the end of the obstructions and the restoration of the railway traffic. "The movement on the Łuków – Radzyń Podlaski railway course takes place without difficulties" – added.
