Christmas Lecture 2025

Behind us is another Christmas lecture by THINKTANK and the Center for global Relations.

Representatives of the government, diplomacy, experts, members of the Club and strategical Council and friends of THINKTANK and CSM gathered in the Palace on the Island in the Royal Bathroom Museum.

The gathering was opened by ministers Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka and Dariusz Standerski, who stressed the importance of strengthening the defence capacity and digital sovereignty of Europe in a dynamic global environment.

During the gathering 2 lectures were held on transatlantic relations. Ambassador Janusz Reiter, president of the CSM Foundation Council, spoke about the evolution of the partnership between Europe and the United States and the challenges facing it. prof. Charles Kupchan of Georgetown University presented an analysis of the function of the US in the multipolar world, paying attention to the interior and external conditions of American politics.

As all year, we besides presented Diplomat of the Year, awarded to ambassadors who are peculiarly active and active in the improvement of relations between Poland and their countries. In 2025 they received them: Luca Franchetti Pardo, Ambassador of Italy, Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan and Anastase Shyaka, Ambassador of Rwanda.
