"The PFR and the army are smitten by start-ups to technologists. The aim is to improve national security. The alleged dual-use technologies, or dual-purpose technologies, are now gaining a strong significance. In a situation where there is simply a war going on across the east border, and the list of possible threats to our country is getting longer, the usage of any innovations that arise in Polish start-ups laboratories can be invaluable. The Polish improvement Fund and the Department of Innovation in the Ministry of Defence, as well as the home defence industry, have a large group of specified innovative projects. _In Poland, there is large possible for dual-use innovation, but - in order to make full usage of it - we request to remove barriers to communication with the military, improve access to finance and build a greater willingness to cooperate, both in the defence sector and among innovators_ - stressed Eliza Kruczkowska, manager of the Innovation improvement Department in PFR. A circumstantial review of what Polish start-ups could offer our safety was held within the framework of the IDA Programme's PFR, MON and Ministry of improvement and Technology. The results are promising - over 100 participants took part in more than 500 individual meetings with experts, which resulted in affirmative military verifications for nearly half the teams. These gained the chance to test their technologies in cooperation with the army, and 10 solutions were in the ellipse of interest of the defence manufacture (one has already received a acquisition offer).’
